Day 01: Jammu

Day 02: Jammu – Srinagar

 

After Breakfast check out from the Hotel and then proceed towards Srinagar.

Day 03: Srinagar Local Sightseeing

 

After breakfast , have a visit of Mughal Gardens (Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh) Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh built in 1632 A.D. by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Jahangir and Shalimar Bagh built by Jahangir for his wife Empress Noor Jahan and Chashm-e-Shahi. All the gardens are on the banks of Dal Lake.

 

Later visit in Shankaracharya Temple Which is also known as the Jyeshteshwara Temple. It is situated on top of the Shankaracharya Hill on the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is at a height of 1,000 feet above the valley floor and overlooks the city of Srinagar.

 

Enjoy 1 Hour Boat Ride on Lake by a gondola Boat called” SHIKARA” witness the ride on lake, called Venice of India & experience the aquatic life of Srinagar.

 

Dinner and over night stay at Houseboat  in Srinagar.

 

 

 

Day  04 : Srinagar – Doodhpathri – Srinagar (One way – 50 kms, 02 hrs by road)

After Breakfast, have a day excursion to Doodhpathri. Doodhpathri Description – A tourist destination and hill station located in Budgam district of Jammu & Kashmir. Situated at an altitude of 8,957 ft from sea level, and located at a distance of 42 km from state summer capital Srinagar.

 

It lies in a bowl-shaped valley in the PirPanjal Range of the Himalayas, at an altitude of 2,730 m (8,957 ft), above sea level. It is an alpine valley covered with snow clad mountains and the meadows of Pine Fir and Deodar. The natural meadows, which are covered with snow in winter, allow the growth of wild flowers such as daisies, forget-me-nots and butter cups during spring and summer.

 

After having visit, return to Srinagar, check

 

Day 05: Srinagar   – Sonamarg (One way 95 Kms; Approx. 3  hours by Road) 

 

  • After Breakfast check out from the Hotel & transfer to  Sonamarg.

 

  • Sonamarg Description– Situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft. Sonamarg is also called as “The meadow of gold” has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired (Own arrangements) for the trip up to Thajawas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer.

 

  • Check in to the Hotel .

 

  • Overnight stay at Hotel in Sonamarg.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

For Sonamarg Visit during heavy snowfall vehicles go till Gagangir which is 10 km’s away from Sonamarg. In this case the only possible mode of transportation is Ponies. The guest has to pay on actuals.

 

 

Day 06: Sonmarg  – Gulmarg ( One way – 125 kms, 03 hrs by road)

(Please be advised that movement of our vehicles is not allowed in Gulmarg and we will not provide vehicle on this day & We will not provide transfers from hotel to Gondola start point as the movement of our vehicle is not allowed . Guest has to arrange by himself and pay there on actual)

 

  • After breakfast check out from the Hotel and then proceed towards for a picturesque drive to Gulmarg.

 

  • It was discovered as a tourist destination by the British in the 19th century. It is exquisitely situated in a pine surrounded basin of the Pir Panjal range at an altitude of 2,730 meters above sea level and one of the most famous tourist destinations of Kashmir. It also has one of the world’s highest green golf courses with 18 holes, as well as a clubhouse, which is a historical building in its own right.

  • Optional Sightseeing:Embark on an excursion to Betaab Valley and Aru Valley. Surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and dense pine and deodar forests, this valley is the mouth of River Sheshnag.

Day 09:  Pahalgam  to  Katra  On The Way   Patnitop Sightseeing .

Patnitop Description: Enveloped by thickly wooded Cedar/ Deodar forests, Patnitop offers beautiful picnic spots, peaceful walks and breathtaking views of the mountain scape of the Chenab basin. It is the closest winter resort to Jammu and to Udhampur and is second to none in its natural charm, climate, pine forests and lush green cover. This famous hill resort is perched on a beautiful plateau, at an altitude of 2024 m across which the Jammu-Srinagar Highway passes.

Day 10: Katra (Vaishno Devi Darshans)

 

Please be advised that on the day of Darshans we will not provide vehicle and guests have to coordinate with hotels reception for Banganga / Helipad pick up and drop. The hotel may or may not apply charges for Banganga pick up and drop as per policy.

  • Register and Procure Yatra slip. Drop to the Banganga and start your Yatra for Vaishno Devi Darshans (Please be advised that Bhavan is around 13 Km’s from Katra Town and you can hire Ponies, Palkis or can cover the distance by Foot).

 

  • Return to Katra and overnight at Hotel.

 

  • Overnight  stay at Hotel in Katra.

 

Please note that Yatra Slips can be either booked on Shrine Board’s website i.e. www.maavaishnodevi.org in advance or available at Shrine Board’s Yatra Slip counter at Katra.

 

Important Instruction – Kindly keep tab, laptop, Video camera, handy camera and any licensed weapon in your hotel room as due to security reasons these things are not permitted during Yatra.

 

 

Day 11 :  Katra – Shivkhori – Katra (One way – 90 Kms; 04 hrs by Road)

  • After breakfast transfer to Shiv-Khori.
  • Shivkhori Description:Khori means cave (Guffa) and Shiv Khori thus denotes Shiva’s cave. This natural cave is about 200 metres long, one metre wide and two to three meters high and contains a self made lingam, which according to the people is unending. The first entrance of the cave is so wide that 300 devotees can be accommodated at a time. This cave is spacious to accommodate large number of people. The inner chamber of the cave is smaller.
  • After the divine Darshans of Lord Shiva back to Katra town.

Important Note

  • In places like Pahalgam, new construction is banned to save ecology. In fact, it is so strict in Pahalgam, that older hotels cannot be renovated or painted too. Thus, many hotels have challenges with the interiors too.

 

  • Pony owners have a strong hold in Gulmarg and Pahalgam and restrict our vehicles travelling in these two villages. Guests have to listen to the instructions of the Drivers/ TMs and/or local guides in dealing with the locals.

  1. All passengers have to report 02 hrs prior to the departure due to security checking at the airport.
  2. We reserve the right to re-arrange itinerary to suit hotel availability without changing the total number of days in each destination and without compromising any services.
