Day 01: Jammu

 

Arrival at Jammu Airport Railway Station & Transfer to the Hotel.

Check in Hotel in Jammu.

Overnight Stay at Jammu Hotel.

 

 

Day 02: Jammu – Srinagar

 

After Breakfast check out from the Hotel and then proceed towards Srinagar.

 

Check in to the Hotel.

 

Overnight stay and dinner at the Hotel in Srinagar.

 

Day 03: Srinagar   – Sonamarg (One way 95 Kms; Approx. 3  hours by Road) 

 

  • After Breakfast check out from the Hotel & transfer to  Sonamarg.

 

  • Sonamarg Description– Situated at an altitude of 9000 Ft. Sonamarg is also called as “The meadow of gold” has, as its backdrop, snowy mountains against a cerulean sky. The Sindh River that meanders through the valley abounds with trout and mahaseer. Ponies can be hired (Own arrangements) for the trip up to Thajawas glacier, which is a major local attraction during the summer.

 

  • Check in to the Hotel .

 

  • Overnight stay at Hotel in Sonamarg.

 

IMPORTANT NOTE:

For Sonamarg Visit during heavy snowfall vehicles go till Gagangir which is 10 km’s away from Sonamarg. In this case the only possible mode of transportation is Ponies. The guest has to pay on actuals.

 

 

 

 

 

Day 04: Srinagar Local Sightseeing

 

After breakfast , have a visit of Mughal Gardens (NishatBagh, Shalimar Bagh) Mughal Gardens visiting NishatBagh built in 1632 A.D. by Asif Khan, brother-in-law of Jahangir and Shalimar Bagh built by Jahangir for his wife Empress Noor Jahan and Chashm-e-Shahi. All the gardens are on the banks of Dal Lake.

 

Later visit in Shankaracharya Temple Which is also known as the Jyeshteshwara Temple. It is situated on top of the Shankaracharya Hill on the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is at a height of 1,000 feet above the valley floor and overlooks the city of Srinagar.

 

Enjoy 1 Hour Boat Ride on Lake by a gondola Boat called” SHIKARA” witness the ride on lake, called Venice of India & experience the aquatic life of Srinagar.

 

Dinner and over night stay at Houseboat  in Srinagar.

 

 

Day 05: Srinagar – Gulmarg( One way – 65 kms, 02hrs by road)

  • After breakfast check out from the Hotel and then proceed towards for a picturesque drive to Gulmarg.

 

  • It was discovered as a tourist destination by the British in the 19th century. It is exquisitely situated in a pine surrounded basin of the PirPanjal range at an altitude of 2,730 meters above sea level and one of the most famous tourist destinations of Kashmir. It also has one of the world’s highest green golf courses with 18 holes, as well as a clubhouse, which is a historical building in its own right.

 

  • Check into the Hotel in Gulmarg.

 

  • Optional / Own Arrangements :Gulmarg to Kungdoor (Phase 1) : The 1st phase of the Gondola takes tourists to the height of 8530 ft to Kongdori Station.

 

  • Optional / Own Arrangements:Kungdoor to Aparwath (Phase 2): the second stage of the Gondola goes up to the height of 12293 ft.

  • Optional Sightseeing:Embark on an excursion to Betaab Valley and Aru Valley. Surrounded by snow-covered mountain peaks and dense pine and deodar forests, this valley is the mouth of River Sheshnag.

Day 08:  PahalgamtoKatraOn The Way  Patnitop Sightseeing .

This famous hill resort is perched on a beautiful plateau, at an altitude of 2024 m across which the Jammu-Srinagar Highway passes.

Day 09: Katra (Vaishno Devi Darshans)

 

Please be advised that on the day of Darshans we will not provide vehicle and guests have to coordinate with hotels reception for Banganga / Helipad pick up and drop. The hotel may or may not apply charges for Banganga pick up and drop as per policy.

  • After breakfast at the Hotel.

 

  • Register and Procure Yatra slip. Drop to the Banganga and start your Yatra for Vaishno Devi Darshans (Please be advised that Bhavan is around 13 Km’s from Katra Town and you can hire Ponies, Palkis or can cover the distance by Foot).

 

  • Return to Katra and overnight at Hotel.

 

  • Overnight  stay at Hotel in Katra.

 

Please note that Yatra Slips can be either booked on Shrine Board’s website i.e. www.maavaishnodevi.org in advance or available at Shrine Board’s Yatra Slip counter at Katra.

 

Important Instruction – Kindly keep tab, laptop, Video camera, handy camera and any licensed weapon in your hotel room as due to security reasons these things are not permitted during Yatra.
